Leila, caught in the precarious world of New Age Hippy Travellers and Romany Gypsies, is trying to find somewhere safe to have her baby - and somewhere safe to find herself as part of the process.
The precarious world of a pregnant fatherless girl, New Age Hippy Travellers and Romany Gypsies ... these form the background for this new play by Jeremy Sandford, based on real incidents he has encountered as a member of the Gypsy Council, the Herefordshire Traveller Support Group, the Safe Childbirth for Travellers Campaign, and through having experienced various types of Travellers camping on his land.
The story concerns one young woman’s quest to find somewhere safe to have her baby.
